What is IALEIA Journal? A Scholarly publication of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts, IALEIA Journal strives to "bridge the gap" between academic research and the practical techniques employed by criminal research specialists and intelligence experts worldwide. . Who Contributes to IALEIA Journal? Submissions come from many sources including field-level analysts, senior policy-making officials, and college and university faculty and researchers. While articles featured in the Journal are frequently authored by IALEIA members, we also welcome manuscripts from professionals working within the criminal research and intelligence arena, as well as members of allied organizations such as the International Association of Crime Analysts, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. Collaborative contributions such as papers co-authored by governmental intelligence and corporate research entities and teacher-student submissions are also strongly encouraged. How Often is IALEIA Journal Produced? IALEIA Journal is a biannual publication, produced as a professionally bound and printed periodical and distributed to Association members in the late fall and early summer. Special edition monographs, CD-ROM compilations, and on-line versions of select Journal issues may also be available subject to the needs of the organization How Do I Submit a Manuscript for Consideration? Only original manuscripts not previously published or under consideration by another periodical will be considered for review. If accepted for publication, all manuscripts become the exclusive property of IALEIA Journal, and cannot be published elsewhere without the written consent of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts. Submissions must adhere to American Psychological Association (5th Edition) standards. Scholarly research or best practice articles should be between 15 and 30 pages in length (double-spaced, full justification, 12-point courier or times new roman font). Book reviews and technology product assessments of approximately 5 to 10 pages will also be considered for publication.
