The establishment of IALEIA Chapter Brazil (IALEIA-BR) was authorized in 2009. On October 22, 2010, the Chapter Brazil of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts was established as an association in accordance with the Brazilian legislation and IALEIA Bylaws. The meeting was attended by professionals of the Federal Police Department, the State Police Departments, the State Prosecution Services, the Army, the State Court of Auditors and the State Department of Corrections, all of them as new chapter members.
The Board of Directors was decided as follows:
1) President: Denilson Feitoza Pacheco, Ph.D. in Law and Senior State Prosecutor;
2) 1st Vice-President: Francisco Vicente Badenes Junior, Federal Police Officer;
3) 2nd Vice-President: George Felipe de Lima Dantas, Ph.D. in Education and former State Police Officer;
4) Treasurer: Flávia Galindo Silvestre Silva, Ph.D. in Pharmacology and State Forensic expert;
5) Secretary: Luiz Augusto Soares de Andrade, Law Enforcement Intelligence expert and State Prosecutor.
The IALEIA Chapter Brazil (IALEIA-BR) will have the support of Foundation School of Higher Studies for the State Prosecution Service of Minas Gerais (FESMPMG), where it will work in close cooperation with the Brazilian Association of Criminal Intelligence (INTECRIM).
